The saucer magnolia outside our studio window is a busy port for birds buzzing in for a bite and is the inspiration for the Bird Circle. Folksy, pop and modern, this piece is derivative of a circle template interpreted throughout art history in so many forms … the cathedral rose window, circle quilt patterns and the Japanese “enso ” to mention only a few. Photogenic drawing and watercolor. Archival print on 300 gsm watercolor paper, signed by Madeline and Robert Longstreet. and numbered. Edition of 200.
